Look What's Going On!
March: Onion sets are in now. Cabbage, Broccoli & Cauliflower plants will be ready soon. Garden seed will also be available for the early gardener. Since requests have gone down in recent years, only prominent seeds will be carried such as Green beans and Sweet Corn varieties. Squash, cucumber, okra, eggplant, tomato, and pepper plants are being sown now.
Most of the planting will be completed in early March, but the transplanting phase of the growing season will be in full swing. Tagging, pricing, placement decisions as well as caring for the plants will be a daily task until opening day in mid April.
Now is the time to pre-book large quantities of plants (12 or more of one variety) for pick up at the proper time. It's also time to come out & order your custom plantings. Bring in your beautiful containers and we'll make them POP for you. They must be picked up by May 1st.
March thru mid-April hours are M-Th 3-5 pm (after I finish at Sinclair's), Friday 1-5 pm, Saturday & Sunday by chance.
Mid-April & May: Hours will be posted in the Shopper and here when they are finalized. We will be open from 9-5 on Friday and Saturday for sure. Sunday hours will be noonish - 3. Monday - Thursday you will continue to find me at the greenhouse after my Sinclair hours are fulfilled.
